Yes, it is Mother’s day soon- this Sunday, to be specific. A day that comes once a year, when we do or give something to our mothers to show them we appreciate what they do for us. Like I mentioned just now, it’s one day in a year. Everyone who loves their mother, grandmother, or aunt must absolutely, POSITIVELY, get them something. We know you don’t have enough time to think of gifts or ideas, so to help you with your last-minute gifts for your wonderful mother, we will list a couple of great, cheap, and cool ideas for Mother’s day.
What woman doesn’t like flowers? Make your house filled with their aroma and present them to your mother. And don’t get her some roses like any other child, but get her her favorite flowers. Whether it be carnations, daisies, tulips, etc. make sure you find out what kind (without letting your mom find out. You want it as a surprise) of flowers are her favorites. Ask your dad, your mother’s closest friends, or your siblings. If you’re a guy, dress yourself in a suit and tie, and present the flowers. It’ll make your mother feel younger and perhaps happy about the fact you cleaned yourself up for once. It’s may be a simple gift, but it can also be the perfect gift for her.
2. Breakfast in Bed
Probably the cheapest, but most sentimental gift you can give your mother. Prepare her a simple, yet delicious breakfast along with a cup of coffee, tea, or juice. Make sure you’re confident in making it, and make it presentable. It doesn’t have to look extravagant, but put some effort into decorating the tray, so when your mother hears the knock on the door and sees you walk in with that wonderful tray of goodness, she’ll be overjoyed. It’s the perfect way to prepare your mom for a relaxing and joy-filled Mother’s day.
3. Spa Tickets/Foot Massage Tickets
A bit pricey compared to the other gifts, but one of the best ways to show your mom you love and care for her. Let her off for a couple of hours to relax, get a massage, and sleep with no disturbances. While she’s away, clean the house, wash the dishes, or do the laundry, so when she comes home, she won’t have to lift a finger, letting her end the day in peace.
4. Spend Time with Her
There couldn’t be a better present than spending your time with your mother. Because of your work or school, you rarely come home or are just too busy to even talk to her. So for just that one day, take her anywhere she wants to go and do everything she wants to do. Maybe just take a walk, go shopping, go to the amusement park, have lunch together, or just anything she chooses to do. Make it her special day and make sure to enjoy yourself as well.
5. Hand-made gifts
If you’re confident in arts-and-crafts, a hand-made gift is a cheap and also a great gift to give to your mother. Make and write a card, create a dozen flower origami, make a floral headpiece, bake a cake, or, if you can, make clothes. Sometimes, rather than a pricey designer bag, the easiest way to win your mom’s heart over is by giving her something you made yourself, no matter how bad it may be (at least try to make it look good). And if you do want to make something creative, but can’t figure out how to do it yourself, the internet will be a big help. Just google ‘how to make …’, and you will be set for a good looking present. For example, click on the picture to see how to make a flower garland/headpiece.
